Back in the 70's and early 1980's I was pushing 30 psi boost through a highly modified Corvair. Was using a stock rod that was polished and shot peened with larger bolts. But they are a pretty tough engine. Also had to modify the oil system to feed the crank oil first. Motoring was making about 600hp with the limited controls of the day. Today you could up that pretty good.
