Chin spoiler?

Post by JasonC »

I put a factory chin spoiler in my 65. Now i got a more aggressive look to the car with the Keystone wheels, i would like a more aggressive front spoiler. I heard a 69 Camaro spoiler would work? Or if there is something out there along those lines of the Camaro spoiler for a Corvair. Let me know what is out there and where to get one.

69' Camaro spoiler. I got it from Clark's, but there are readily available from many sources. Anywhere from $30 to $60 or so. Took me less than a half hour to install it.

Well i got a 69 spoiler for my car. But was wondering about the 67-68 Camaro spoiler? Are they the basic shape of a 69? I was looking at them and seen the center was different. But dont know if they are more aggresive looking or just the same as the 69s.

jason...i like that spoiler, ive got one on my 64. the only thing i would change on your vair is lower the front a little (coil and a half maybe). that would give you a much more aggressive stance (like a cat ready to pounce).
with that said, that is one badass lookin vair! looks great! those wheels, those headlights, that color, those stripes all work very well together. nice work!

Thanks man! And i do agree that the front would look great lowered some. But i'm digging the all around raised look. Kind of gives it a 60's/70's vibe to the car. And thats what i was shooting for in the looks dept of this car.

I like the S10 style spoiler as they are a bit more forgiving when you happen to hit something. I like the look of the Camaro unit a bit more but I think the S10 air dam actually works and lasts better. I had to borrow a picture from google but it is the S10 style I epoxied mine on the ends but the concept is the same. I like it because it bends rather than breaking.

I tend not to run my car into stuff, so i'm pretty safe with my Camaro spoiler.
