But does "Sold" mean BOUGHT? Interesting fabrication. Apparently a 230 CID, but bell housing looks strange. I wonder if the tracks have any kind of chain or if the "link" is just the rubber strips. Need to find a 95 with a trashed cab and make a hinged bed on it now.

The tracks look like from a snow cat or at least started from one. On a snow cat it is just the rubber belting. The chassis looks like snow cat also. Does it say 230? The side covers look a little like the 292?

>>Apparently a 230 CID, but bell housing looks strange<<

It looks like a SM420 and cast iron bell housing used 1947-1967 trucks. That trans had a really "lo" granny gear and the shift knob was usually labeled L-1-2-3-R. Guessing that is why the seller called it a 3 sp.
The carb is a Rochester B, also pre-'68 .
The 292 has 4 inch tall side covers. Noticeably taller than the 250/230 covers.

I was pretty sure they weren't 292 covers. I didn't think about the earlier truck bellhousings. That would be where the rear mounts bolt to the bottom sides of the housing? More used to the aluminum car bell housings.
I lean towards those being made up tracks, but being from Florida, not very used to Snowcat stuff (changed way too mant skid steer tracks and fortunately didn't have to mess with the all steel tracks on the dozers and trackhoes other than adjustments.
Still, who is the proud new owner?

Not by me...my biggest problem was not enough trailer.

Racecar trailer too narrow and not heavy duty enough.

Tracks look like 5,000# and 8 feet wide by themselves.

There's a guy who did me wrong and I can't help but wonder if I'd get grim satisfaction driving up and over his car.

I always wanted to drive one of our heavy tracked vehicles over a car. Only had two opportunties: A ploice cruiser that was burned to the point that there was NO VIN (anywhere) during our 1996 riots (but I hadn't yet driven a track), and an S-10 that was donated (abandoned) on our compound without authorization paperwork (it disappeared one weekend). There is a place in Florida where you can pay a fee and drive a tank. For a little extra, you can crush a car with it. Won't have time for that though.
