Nice looking car! I'm sure your Dad would be proud that you finished it. :tu:

You might want to take this statement out though
"it's not even been driven in rain yet."

I was never driven in rain. When it was completed back where my Dad lived, I trailered it up to Ottawa. When we were unloading it, it started to rain. Just as we finished unloading it and the truck drove away, the rain stopped and a rainbow came out.

I took it as my father's approval of the completion of the project.

Well sir, after reading all the posts in this thread, this one below (from 66vairguy) gives you a step by step approach.
Yes it is a good looking car, BUT the only real way to figure out what it is worth is to look at other Corvairs sale prices. Hagerty and others list sale prices. You'll see a range of $2,000.00 to $25,000.00. Then put it out there and see what offers you get
.

Research the market & SET your price (difficult when emotionally attached) and see if a buyer surfaces.
Another consideration is you need to research what steps a US buyer will need to take to make sure ownership documentation from Canadian seller is accepted in US (could vary by state).

Hi everyone.

I resolved some issues, there are a few that remain, but I have reached a point where I need to sell it.

So the price is set at $15,000 CDN and the remaining issues are disclosed in the ad.

Just a suggestion, many in the U.S.A. are not aware of the U.S. dollar to Canadian dollar exchange rate. I'd put $15,000.00 Canadian (about $10,790.00 U.S.) in your ad. A considerable difference in prices. You might also state what is involved in purchasing, then driving, or shipping a Canadian registered car into the U.S. Just my :my02:

Fair points... to be honest I have no idea what's involved in exporting the car back to the US. I can easily get it to Ogdensburg New York Canadian side for somebody that wants to handle the rest, and it's properly titled/licensed/insured right now in Ontario, but beyond that I would probably leave it up to the buyer other than of course facilitating whatever they need. I was imagining it would find a home on this side of the border though.

Links you posted show the car is now SOLD so maybe update the classified ad so people here don't waste their time?

I was just wondering if you sold it and if you don't mind what you sold it for. Thank you.
