Re: Back again
Congratulations. Everyone should own one convertible in their life.
Looks good.
Looks good.
Re: Back again

Looks nice! Curious as it’s an 140 convertible, but it appears that there are no backup lights. (Unless the rear lenses were changed). Wondering how the car is optioned?

Well that looks like a fun project! Big fan of the stripe.
What color is it? It looks like Glacier Gray.

Re: Back again
Previous owner got tired of ripping wires off the 61/65 backup light switch and just went to all red lenses. Seen it before.
Usually just 67 lamps in the converted lenses, no stop or turn filament. Now people do the dual filament lamps there in the more light better rage.
Yes, factory stock was backup lamps on Monzas. 65 was the last year for aluminum delete plates on 500 models unless the backup lamp option was checked. 66 on backup lamps were standard equipment on all Chevrolets. Factory stock was never 4 all red lenses on Corvairs.
Looks like a wash, registration, fresh oil and fuel and ready to ride!
Oh, if it had DOT 3,4 in it then brake system clean out. And if Ethanol in the tank, maybe green stuff in carbs (eaten brass) so best hope for dry carbs then take sender out look into tank for rust issues. Sorry....
