Finished Project

Post by Dad's Vert Vair »

Someone gave me a rusty parts car. After stripping all the useable parts, I cut off the back, hung it on the garage wall, and wired it to come on when the garage door openers operate.

Love it. Wish I had the room to do such a thing.

I'd love to have something like that sticking out the side of my shop. A perfect example of repurposing! :tu:

Nice man cave addition! How about some oil streaks on the wall under the 'Vair for a more authentic experience?

Very cool! I have no wall space in the shop so mine are outside. The rear end has solar powered walkway lights with a motion sensor so that the LEDs go from dim to bright if you walk past them at night. I haven't finished wiring up the front end but plan on dim lighting such as would be fitting for an old relic of a Corvair.

I don't think that paint is gonna buff out. (get out the rattle cans). I license plate would be a nice touch too.

I love garage art. I posted about the subject a while back. I was hoping more people would respond an show off their talents and creativity.
