New to the Corvair world and this forum.
Just acquired a 1962 Corvair 900 Monza 2dr - oh what a fun "project" this is gonna be!

Folks here are nice and very helpful so don't be afraid to ask any questions.
It would be good to identify your engine. It may have been swapped with something else in 60 years. The engine number is on the top of the crankcase down in the valley ahead of the oil fill tube and behind the top shroud. You may need to wipe down in there with a rag or screwdriver. The last one or two letters are what's important to begin with, something like "YC" or "Z" or.... After that may be the head number but that's hard to get at, it's on the rear of the right head and the front of the left head but the shrouding covers it up. The distributor number is another good number to have. It's on the outside of the distributor clockwise from the vacuum advance arm. It's a number like "1110296" with the last 3 numbers being important.
Is your '62 a Manual transmission or Powerglide? Is it running? In pretty good shape for rust since you're in Arizona?
I wonder if there's a Corvair club near you? I enjoy spending time with other Corvair people and seeing other cars can be inspiring.
