I am working on a customer's 64 rampside and one of my tasks is to install the wiper arms. The driver's stud sits a lot lower to the body than the passenger stud, and he chipped the paint slightly when he tried to put the driver's arm on. I disassembled and removed the driver's wiper stud to verify everything was put together correctly, and it is labeled as left. My original plan was to bend the mounting bracket outward, but it is pretty well reinforced. Is there something I am missing, or was this an assembly line alignment error?
Thanks as always!

Re: FC wiper stud issue
Take the grille off and look for front end sheet metal damage below the mechanism mounting area. I suspect it was impacted in front in the past and the damage was cosmetically repaired. My 64 Van had almost centered wiper arm pivots.
