Just a note to see who is going to Corvair Sptingfest 2024 in Helen, Georgia this year.

Donna & I have our RV reservation set up at Unocoi RV Campground with arriving on the 18th, and leaving on morning of the 21st. We will be selling there. Hopefully someone will buy all items at a good price deal, so I can stop selling.. I have a Excel spreadsheet iupdate nwork that will list all my for sale parts.

Tom and I will be there with our 62 8 door and selling parts and puzzles inside.

Mike, I will send you the spreadsheet as soon as it is finalized. We are starting the inventory to add items and remove some items from last year's list.

There will be an autocross for those inclined to participate. It will be restricted to Corvairs with the factory Boxer 6 production engines. No swapped in non-Vair engine powered Vairs will be allowed to be part of the autocross. Decicision was made to limited the engine to production installed engines in this competition. This is due to the accident that occurred at previous Springfest by a V8 powered Vair and agreements with insurance company to cover function..

I finally made reservations at the Helendorf this morning. The plan is to arrive Thursday afternoon and depart Sunday morning.
This will be my first attendance at this event and I look forward to seeing Al once again.

Beth will be with me as will be my friend Tom. We have a Cabin that we are renting through Air B&B and driving our 62 8 door Panel.

Andrea, I will be in outside vendors area. I will be selling parts and hawking my whole parts package to someone who wants to take it over for a reasonable price. (Not a 10 cents on the dollar sell out).

My Excel spreadsheet of parts for sale is about 50% verified. Should be finished end of next week. Need to get led marker lights on the 23 ft rv trailer and add steel plates above tires on frame to keep blown out tires from taking out floorboards. One tire blew out going to Cruisin the Coast Missississippi and tore up the floor board under the litchen sink. Got it almost repaired.

Still working on my parts list. All bins are done. Just loose parts to move into workshop to confirm or add on the list.
Been waylaid on 2 other importanat tasks. Installing 11 new LED marker lights on the RV trailer, as some went out due to bad sockets. Also repairing floor, where the right front tire blew out and the steel belts tore floor up. We have got it almost fixed. When finished, we will be putting steel sheeets above the tires attached to the floor framing to keep this from happening again.

Club plans for the Fest still ongoing. This month meeting on the 9th showed 70+ registrations. Only 3 registrations for the autocross. Need more to sign up for the autocross to make it a success. There are Friday and Saturday evening meals as part of the festivities.

I would like to find someone willing to purchase the entire package. Not at bottom dollar, but a mutually agreed upon price. I just don't have the time nor energy to do this much more. If I can't get a reasonable offer to sell all corvair parts I bring, my wife and I have decided the recycle bin will just get filled up after this trip. I would hate to see good new and used parts go to the recycle, but if I pass to that great Corvair garage (up there or down there) that is what will happen anyways.
