I don't know how you guys do it. I spent the day working on a leaky wheel seal on my car hauler. Of course my steam cleaner didn't work so I had to fix that too. My back, legs and feet are not happy right now.

The day I stop crawling under Corvairs is the day I'm dead.

Yes I have a lift, but sometimes I don't use it on purpose!!

I'm also 71 years old! I've discovered that it is not the crawling under my Corvairs that is hard... it is dragging myself back up into a standing position from the car creeper tthat can be a struggle... it is particularly frustrating to realize while under the car that a critically-needed tool still resides in my tool chest on the far side of the garage! :sad5: My increasing forgetfulness and lack of mental focus seems to cause that to occur way too often!!

You all make me feel pretty good. 61 in a few days. I still work a 65 to 70 hour work week and hope to retire at 70. I just hope i can still do fun stuff at that point in life.

Happy Birthday Phil. Just went through the same last month. I would say I'm getting better, but really I'm just getting older. LOL

Heck, I am having slow couple of weeks lately. Having 4 trees brought to the ground and stumps dug up. I am doing the clean up and burning now. The tree crew has piled the brush and wood up. The backhoe operator stacked the stumps for burning. Stums about 40% burnt with 20% of brush and small stuff burnt up.

I am also tearing down a friend's parent's 14 x 70 mobile home that is deemed unfit to live in. Her mother and father were good friends also and they had passed in April and August of last year. The walls are rotted off at floor supports in several places. No repairing this one. Back wall has dropped 7" in living room section. We helped clean out all the personal items before we started demolition. We have sheet rock about 80% out. 90% of exterior tin has been removed. It won't be long that chains will be placed and my Silverado Z71 will bring it down.

Just looking for dry days, but looks like rain this weekend.

Who says retirement is for sitting and watching TV. I did say earlier I am 70, and will be 71 late June. I am also still working on home and yard maintenance and my projects get fit in also..

74 here. Went to the doctor for routine visit and the tech asked me if I was in pain. I said hell yes! I played hockey Until I was forty (goaltender), dove shipwrecks in the North Atlantic, and drove race cars (NASCAR and SCCA). Paying for it now, but well worth it!
