How to not starve whilst cornering

Post by cvair4life »

I'm a mild city driver..... :rallye: :burnout: .... anyway the car starves while I'm cornering. I assume this is because the gash sloshes over in the bowl and pushes the float up to close the fuel inlet valve on one of the two carbs or maybe both.

Is there a solution for this on the stock Carter's?

IIRC, I thought that was the reason they made the carb rotation kits, right?

Sure, the solution is EFI

You do mean Rochester carbs, don't you? Turn cutout can be helped with vent tube extensions, next step is main jet relocation. Lots of info here:http://autoxer.skiblack.com/carbs.html

if you grab a quick bite to eat before driving you wont starve in the corvers. its an easy solution.... much cheaper then EFI
