Article to correctly orientate new LM trunk/engine weatherstrip

Post by 66vairguy »

It is the time of year to do "garage" projects. Replacing a worn out and shabby looking weather strip on the trunk or engine bay is a good project. An article posted by SCC at Facebook and Instagram and in the Corsa West newsletter shows the correct orientation of the weatherstrip.

If the weatherstrip is not installed correctly the trunk or engine lid will not close easily!! I have to admit I almost goofed up my installation years ago, it is easy to do.

Thanks for posting, this is my next project. I purchased the weather stripping and adhesive from Clark’s to
insure it’s the correct shape and size.
