TRUCK VAN CLUTCH CABLE
Re: TRUCK VAN CLUTCH CABLE
Wow - this is an old thread but I also have a '62 FC and I am fighting cable adjustment.
Adjusting by the book I cannot get the trans in gear when running.
I adjust by the book and then I need to take that 3.5 turns back in - shortening the clutch rod just to make it drivable.
Feels like all the slack is gone between the clutch bearing face and the cover spring fingers.
Late model stepped flywheel with correct cover and bearing. New Clark's cable. Hmmm . . .

Re: TRUCK VAN CLUTCH CABLE
I purchased a Clark's repo clutch cable a few months ago. I seemed to have some stretching the first few days, which required me to readjust a couple of times before I had it working the way I wanted it to. I was a little worried at first because I had to adjust quite a bit more than the factory original one.
