Upper Vent Tube for PCV pipe

Post by steptoe »

I have a 1964 Monza which has the old draft tube breather system. I am converting to a factory PCV system but my upper shroud (engine cover) does not have the hole to put the vent pipe through. Would anyone know how to measure where to cut a hole through the shroud? It has to be exact because the pipe is metal and will not bend. I do not wish to mess up by making a hole much to large for the pipe. Thanks in advance, David

Well, I guess I'm lucky because I measured in 2 crossing directions after looking at about 10 pics of PCV holes and got it exactly perfect. Now to finish the installation.

 If you can, I hope you will post some pictures of your work. We all learn from each other, and if you can document your work in words and photographs, it just might inspire others to make similar improvements on their cars. :not worthy: :thumbsupwink:
