Corvairs in Movies
A Corvair in The Movies. Any movie.
To try to keep them all in One spot I did find this thread on this site; Corvair spotted in a scary movie.
I spotted a 1966 Corsa Convertible in a Movie the other night. Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler. They showed the car right in the beginning of the movie and I had to watch the whole thing to see if it was shown again. It was not, unfortunately. I also spotted that it has an Aztec Bronze Interior.
Had to look quick for the open door shot to see the color. The wheels look like Chevy Rally Wheels or Aluminum Slotted with a center cap? Hard to tell. Anybody know who owns the car? It looks like the exterior color is a slate grey and Not Blue as it looks in the clip.

Re: Corvairs in Movies
Thanks for the link Kevin. I have heard of the http://www.imdb.com website but had not seen this one just about the movie cars. I found the Bedtime Stories link on your link and what a difference a clear picture makes. I had recorded the movie from TV onto VHS tape and took the pictures of the screen after hitting pause during playback. Now I can answer one of my own questions. It Does have the Chevy Rally Wheels. It is also a Turbo Corsa after seeing the exhaust tip on the right side.UNSAFE wrote: Link ---- http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-Chev ... rvair.html
Whoever restored it must not have liked the silver cove and just painted it body color.

Re: Corvairs in Movies
I watched "Dazed and Confused" the other day and there were a couple shots of an LM in the drive in scenes.
Re: Corvairs in Movies
I remember watching a "serial killer" type movie a few years back and the first victims were a young couple parked and making out in a gold or bronze colored early. I checked that IMCDB and it looks like the movie was "Zodiac".
Also if we bring in TV shows I saw a main character driving a late convertible somewhere that was hideous florescent green. I thought it was "Monk" but thats not on the site... Still searching the interwebs on that one.
Ok it looks like it was Kung Fu: The Legend continues. One of the main characters, Kermit Griffin, is the driver of this car. Here is the only pic I found. I don't think this was listed on IMCDB.

Right under the "Embedding Disabled by Request" message it says " Watch on Youtube". If you click on Watch on Youtube you will see a much clearer video than the link you mentioned.UNSAFE wrote:The Katy Perry video has been disabled for embedding.
The Corvair used in this video looks like the same one used in the Bedtime Stories Movie.

Re: Corvairs in Movies
My question pertains not tech to movies, but regarding the old Bonanza show. I remember the Chevy commercials, and believe there were some Vairs in there. Anybody have tapes from then????? Aloha!

One of the best things about watching "Bewitched" was the cool chevys Darren always drove. I remember the LM he drove in a couple of epsiodes.
