In 1971 I got a chance to drive a Camaro up Pikes Peak in the summer. By then part of the road was paved. IT IS COLD at the summit even in the summer. Being a carburetor car at high altitude it would not start up after cooling down and NOBODY was around. I pulled the air cleaner and stuck an old screw driver in the carburetor to keep the choke open. I started right up and talk about a lot of black smoke!!! Jetted too rich for that high altitude.

A great drive!!
