I’m doing my rear brakes or my cousin is. The passenger side has the large shoe toward the ft of the car. That’s wrong isn’t it? The large shoe’s toward the back isn’t it. I can’t find a good picture that’s shows whether the big shoe is toward the back or ft.
HELP this Corvair is killing me.
It’s a 65 Corsa

Re: Rear brake job
The picture on the left is from the first page of the BRAKE section of the 1965 Corvair Chassis Shop Manual. The page on the right is near the bottom of page BRAKES 5-10. The illustration and the written description show and state that THE PRIMARY BRAKE SHOE IS THE SHORT LINING, WHICH FACES FORWARD.
