Sounds like the turbo may have a bad carbon seal. You could remove the exhaust pipe from the turbo and look/feel in the exhaust housing for oil to know for sure. Has the turbo been re built? If not that is most likely the issue.

the carbon seal is perfect nice and smooth and the piston ring seal is too so i dont know why it would be leaking unless there is pressure in the crank case not letting it drain back

Is the engine stock and has it been rebuilt? Are you running a YH carb or other? Is all the PCV system intact? Hard to fully diagnose the problem without more info. You may have some worn valve guides as well.

If the PCV system checks out you may think about an oil puke tank. The crankcase in a vair is quite small and the tank would remove some of the pressure. I would check out the PCV system first.

Re: corsa 180 turbo smoking after boost
I have a couple of final comments on this subject. The turbo drain tube could be slightly blocked. If you regularly run the engine up on boost you should let the engine run at idle for a few minutes before shut down. A poor mans turbo timer. You may already know this and if so disregard.

Re: corsa 180 turbo smoking after boost
If you have inspected your PCV system and it all checks out and you still are blowing blue smoke then a puke tank/catch can may help. I'm making the assumption that you run your turbo hard. Otherwise this shouldn't be necessary.
You can install the puke tank/catch can a couple different ways.
1 have your valve covers modded with a line/fitting grazed to the top of each valve cover that will accommodate a AN 10 line and fitting. Run the lines to the location of the tank in the engine bay. You will want to check the puke tank for oil and drain periodically.
2 this method may be the way to go with the least amount of work. Run a line from the large chrome tube coming from the crank case to the inlet on the tank and the line from the outlet into the aircleaner housing.
Hope this helps.
You said your heads were modded. What was done and who did the work? Just curious.
Good Luck,
Norm

Just wanted to say you have a nice looking engine bay. I would like to see some other pics of your ride.
One other thought, what type of oil are you running?
If you aren't running synthetic, you may consider this. The turbo is much more tolerant to synthetic oils, won't coke up as fast on the hot side. I don't recommend this with a new engine but one with 20000 miles and no significant oil leaks this may help your situation.

Re: corsa 180 turbo smoking after boost
thank for all your help ive got all my parts in today to rebuild the turbo but I have a gut feeling that thats not the problem since it was not that old since last rebuild and it looked perfect when I tore apart but since I had it off might as well be smart and refresh61SuperMonza wrote:Just wanted to say you have a nice looking engine bay.
