Login issues

Post by terribleted »

Recently I have been experiencing site login issues. The site no longer wants to remember me and keep me logged in. What is even more annoying is that when I click in the box to enter my user name it pops up an ad which I must exit before I can type in my user name. I do not mind side bar ads but this type thing pisses me off. Any ideas? My issue? Site issue?

Did you remember to check the "Remember me" box?

Not sure about the pop-up ad, unless you have some form of computer virus contamination which is interfering with your PC security. You might do a virus scan, clear the browser cookies, check the browser security settings. If you have a second Internet Web Browser (like Google Chrome) you might try entering into the Corvair Forum with an alternate browser, and see if the problem follows when using an alternate Web browser.

Do you have access to another computer? Does the problem persist when logging on from another PC?

I don't think it is a site issue, as I am not experiencing the problems you describe when I log off and log back on manually instead of using the "Remember me? option.

Of course. It has been checked always. I have made sure it is checked every time I have to log in. This issue started about 4-5 weeks ago.

I do not mind sidebar ads, but, things that make me look at ads make me mad.

Me too this morning but clicking in user name resulted in a pop-up to a different tab add again:(

I'm no expert on these things. I use Chrome for my PC browser, click the bookmark and get in every time without having to enter anything. Same thing on my phone. No issues for me.

I just had to login to post this and it popped up an ad window.
I'm using Firefox. I checked the save box but it is always unchecked when I have to login.

There may be a security setting for your web browser software that is set for high security and clears cookies and other settings each time you exit. Also, your anti virus setting and software may have something to do with this problem.

My settings are all default no history or cookie clearing. This never happened on any of my devices and then it started happening on all of them. They don't all do the pop up ad but they all lose the login.

I'm not sure how to correct your problem, but you might find some clues in these control panel settings.

This is exactly what is going on with my computer and logins here only. I have logged in here now for the third time today. I can leave the tab open with the site open on it and come back later and I am logged out. Started back in early April for me...sigh.
