Interior Poll

Post by choppedliverpr »

Ok guys n gals I'm at the point I have to make a decision. My car is actually being painted (2 yr process) next week. My dad and I have a disagreement on interior color. I want to keep the original bright blue and he wants to switch to grey as it was so rare. It's a 65 Corsa Turbo being painted the original Ermine White.

Does anyone know what paint number/name was used on these 2 interior colors.

Thanks!! Oh and I need to know FAST!

I’d go for original, plus the blue interior would look great with the Ermine White.

Does this link help on the colors

I have just completed a 4 year ground-up restoration of my 1965 Corsa turbo coupe (much to my wife's delight - now she can put me to work around the house again!). I have worked on cars (Corvairs included) all my adult life but this was my first true restoration project. I can now fully appreciate the time, money, and patience required to restore a car. It has taken a lot more time, a lot more money, and a lot more patience than I ever anticipated to complete this project. But I believe the effort was worth it, as I now can enjoy driving and showing this unique automobile...

...I installed an all-new interior, retaining the original Slate color. It has a wood telescopic wheel, AM/FM radio with rear seat speaker, custom deluxe seat belts, and day/night rear view mirror. I obtained a stereo multiplex unit for the car but I didn't want to cut holes to fit the 4 speakers, so I installed two smaller speakers in each of the existing speaker locations, in the center of the dash and at the rear, on the parcel shelf.

Wow, through all the decades, I've never seen nor heard of a grey (slate) interior!! Now I kinda like it. I was thinking you were considering a funky gray velour deal...

I am not hot on Slate interior in Ermine White car. Too boring for me. Personally I would choose any other stock color except Slate.
