Just finished waxing my 61...

Post by classicchevyowner7 »

Just waxed my 61 for the first time today. These were beautiful cars. Too bad nobody knows how to make a truly beautiful car anymore... If anyone wants pics I can post some

Hey there...good looking vehicle! What, if I may ask, did you do for the wheels? I like that look for my LM 500 Sedan. I was thinking about white, with just the polished hubcap lid. It looks like you have a mini beauty ring, then the car color on the very outside. Please enlighten me on those wheels.

Thanks,

Mike

The previous owner told me that it was a 60-61 only wheel combo. I actually have done nothing with polishing them other than washing them not too long ago. Someone on this site told me that they are a rare combo. If you want them you may be able to get them from Clark's Corvair. The tires are bias ply. Hope I answered your questions appropriately. I have only had her for a week and a day.

yeah those wheels and trim rings are 1960-61 only, I don't think those trim rings will fit any other wheel

I really like them. I also have an accessory passenger vanity mirror. Is it rare? Haven't seen too many
