Convertible rear window..

Post by vaporloc »

I just had the new top installed on my 65 140 Corsa.. The man "NICK" who put the top on told me to always wash the rear plastic window up and down. Never wash or clean it side to side. Said up and down will never show scratches because of the way the sun hits it.. Any thoughts here? He seemed to know what he is talking about because he is in his late 50's and has been doing this type of work since he was in high school, according to him..

He's correct. A scratch will be the most visible when light strikes it at right angles.

Don't be too paranoid about the scratches. There are excellent scratch removes for plastic convertible window. They take a bit of rubbing, but do the job. Besides, the top is supposed to be down. :)
