Probably an old topic, but ...
... Looking for a second set of 14" steel wheels for my 65 coupe to throw some hubcaps on. Know that the GM rear-drive wheels are pretty common application here, but do any late model steelies work on the Corvair, or is the offset a problem?
Thanks

Re: late model wheels
A deep offset is going to be an issue, especially on the front, as the tire will rub when turning.
The bolt pattern is close. 4.75 converts to 120.65 metric. The .65 is less than a 32nd but you would still need the conversion nuts to match the metric bevel on the wheel. I know many people don't buy the nuts, but you risk having the standard nut work loose over time and miles.

Most any older 14" 5x4.75 chevy wheels will work.
There are a ton of them on ebay to look at. Pretty easily found on your local craigslist and car swap meets too.
