vairchet wrote:Nice. Speak about being stabbed in the back, I'm one of the old farts that regularly posts on the CorvairCenter Forum. I happen to prefer the CorvairCenter, but then, as described by a couple folks here, I'm one of the 'know-it-all-jerks' that seems to have a chip on his shoulder. After the incident with Tony (OttawaCorvairGuy), I've received my fair share of nasty PMs from a number of folks on the CorvairCenter, but I choose to ignore the ignorant. I guess you can't please everyone. ....And to read this stuff on another Forum, I suppose it's time for me to move on. See you guys.

Chet, personally, I don't think I have had an issue with you. You seem to know your stuff. If you were referring to my comment about grumpy old farts, note I had 'grumpy' in front of it. I'm not getting any younger myself. ;) I don't see any back stabbing. This is an open forum for all. Unless they have been banned....

Just to add to the original topic, CCF was down early yesterday (like about 2AM EST).
I kept checking occasionally, and just about noon EST, I was able to get onto the forum and actually post a response to a topic.
I was even able to edit that response!

Then just as quickly, it went offline again... :banghead:

CCF being down is all my fault, I should not have posted that Roger Whittaker whistling video.

Well since CC has been down.....

- I'm almost caught up with Walking Dead episodes on Netflix
- I finally spoke with Tax adviser about our new business plan
- I almost finished the new FC front suspension tutorial pages
- Jennifer seems to like me more now that i'm not just staring at phone / computer for hours
- I watered my grass for free ( thank you rain )
- got a haircut
- made myself a sandwich rather than asking Jennifer for one

I don't wish pain or suffering on anyone on the 'other' site, but a few of the people there do have a lot of growing up to do. Some of you may recall a certain mod came here, and was caught with multiple log ins attempting to vote himself Corvair of the Month. Not the kind of thing we need here. We all have more integrity than that, and the people here are much more open minded anyway. I'm glad to be part of this forum, I hope it grows beyond their membership to become the net's one stop Corvair site one day. :not worthy:

I thought our government in Bolivia had banned it. Good to see it is universal.

I prefer the format over there, but don't do as much on either as I used to, since there is nothing I can do for my Vair except drive it. And I'm busy with the Mini and the Renault.

Let's hope they get all of the photos fixed too. Right now, any attached photos stored by CC are not showing up. Some really detailed rebuild threads are missing hundred of photos.
