Great! We need some youngsters to keep things going. I was 19 when I bought my first Corvair. I still have it. 53 now.

 I was 8 years old when my parents bought their first new Corvair (1961 Monza coupe purchased at Courtesy Chevrolet in San Jose, California). In 1965 they replaced it with a 1965 Corvair Corsa convertible (140 hp).

When I was 16 in 1969 my father bought a 1963 500 coupe with a frozen engine for me to learn on. I rebuilt that engine during my high school summer vacation and in 1972 that engine powered the 1962 Monza coupe that I drove on my wedding day and on our honeymoon.

In the summer of 1973 my pregnant wife and I drove my parent's 1965 Corsa convertible (a gift) from Thousand Oaks, California to our first USAF assignment at Robins AFB, Warner Robins, Georgia.

My 1972 bride and I currently own my tenth Corvair — a 1966 Corsa convertible (140 hp). I will be 68 in December. :oldtimer:

Oh well being in the 76+ group isn’t so bad..... I’m still standing and even after stage four cancer, I have something to look/plan/enjoy my 66 Monza coupe. Had a 65 Monza Convertible a few decades ago and it was fun to drive and a good chapter with folks who also enjoyed their vehicles. Now if I can last another 20+ years to fully wear it out that would be OK.

I have been a corvair fan since I was a tot. My father loves these cars and that enthusiasm made me a believer. The stories of his Judson supercharged 61 monza club coupe and later 64 spyder convertible made a lasting impression on me. My father is 77 and I am 48. My first corvair was a 65 corsa coupe with a 180 turbo. I purchased that car when I was 14. At 15 I purchased a 66 monza 110 PG. The monza was my daily driver. The corsa was to be restored. I was never able to finish that car and it was sold. There is a thread about that car on the forum. It's the black corsa from Anchorge,AK. The monza was driven for years, put over 300,000 miles on that car.
Years later I had to have another, so I found a 61 monza coupe and realized my dream of a full resto with the help of my father. It has been a great project for the both of us. Many hours in the shop with my dad, loving every minute of it. The result is something I am very proud of and my dads contribution makes it even more special.

Don't remember if I posted here but I'm probably among the youngest! 20 years old and 21 in April, I've loved Corvairs since I was 15, but only got one as a 20th birthday gift, a Monza project. I love the second gen, but the first gen has grown on me since I joined the community!

I think I'm the youngest of all. I'm sixteen (seventeen in April) and don't even have my license yet! (At least I have my learner's permit though.) I bought my Corvair ('60 700 Sedan) out of impulse, but I sure don't regret it!

I am fairly new to the Corvair model when compared to many others. I bought my first one, the 1966 Coupe in July 2009, which was located in Birmingham, Alabama.

I started working on the coupe in 2010, after I completed my basic shelter garage for it. But in 2011, I had a jump start on my learning experience of the Corvair. My friend brought 4 derelict LM Vairs to my land for scrapping and storage of parts. Scrapping didn't start until late 2013, when Donna asked me what was going to happen with the Vairs. When we got 1 Vair dismantled, a 5th LM Vair was added to the group. I saw an ad for a free LM Corsa in South Carolina. It was a rust bucket, but we went and brought it home to meet the same fate. Donna and I were able to learn quite a bit about the Vairs during the dismantling these Vairs. Then in 2014, another LM to get parts off presented itself at our friend's local recycle yard.
