Based on what’s sitting on a shelf in my basement, there have been an even dozen variations of the AC PF-4 oil filter for our Corvairs, as seen in the photo below.
An article in Larry Claypool’s “Stock Is” series in the October, 1991, issue of the CORSA Communique documented the first eleven of these. But the 12th, shown in the inset in the photo, appears to be a newer-than-1991 variation.
I photographed the first eleven of them before discovering that there is a 12th, hence my adding it to the picture like an overlooked cousin.
Anyone know of any others? Or are these 12 the definitive assortment? (I’m not concerned with non-AC branded filters, of which there are a remarkably large number.)

Which of these would have actually come on the cars (and FCs) when they were new?

From looking at the can's themselves and the boxes, the whole front row and likely the 4 or 5 from the left on the rear row. The extreme right on the back row is later, probably late 90's to early/mid 2000's. The "GM" mark of Excellence came out on vehicles in 66. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_of_E ... 0in%201968.
