Disk Brake bracket vendor found

Post by 62_Droptop »

Well the only bitch I have with my 62 Droptop Spyder
Has been the brake system.... I have had her jack up 3 times trying to get the non automatic adjusting system right to no avail. She wants to grab right, left stabbing on the brakes.... It just doesn't work for me... So after putting 40 miles on her i decided that i would cover it up until I have time to make a bracket or find a vendor.
Good News a vendor has been found!!

So I have to give Val a shout out. I just installed his brackets on the 62 today. His bracket kit is a direct bolt
Using my machined hubs - 1/4 (. 25) Wilwood 4 piston caliper & 11" rotor.

He has bracket kits for EM front only
LM front & rear brackets
FC/Van front brackets
He also stated he is working on a bracket kit for
use with stock rims.

His customer service is outstanding to me. We talked
Emailed, & text getting a response every time.

His water jetted brackets has all the bolts, rotor & caliper shims. It doesn't have the caliper bolts( 3/8-20 x 1 #8) I used. His parts list provided after purchase i used different wheel studs (Dorman 610-259) rather than what he recommended.

If anyone is looking to upgrade to disk brakes.

With this system have around $ 1,100.
Maybe not cheep, but well worth the piece of mind which is priceless to me.

Heck i spend this just taking the big boat off shore fishing on a weekend!

Anyway his system, the rotor, calipers indexed perfectly, using the hub to rotor & caliper shims... Which I did use

I have a rear brake piston leaking also so tomorrow I'll
Take care of that issue & will put insurance & tag on her next week... Will let you know how it stops

It's easier to fool people,
Than it is to convince them
That they have been fooled!!
