OPGI Catalog Delayed

Post by SyntheticBlnkerFluid »

Someone on the Corvair Owners Group on FB talked to a rep from OPGI at SEMA last week and apparently they weren't done completing another Catalog, so the Corvair Catalog got pushed back a few months.

Disappointing, but I still look forward in seeing what they will be bringing to the table.

That is true. The corvair catalog was pushed. I have all the parts ready for marketing to enter into the system and lay out the catalog. We don't have a due date yet but I will let you guys know when it is set. I am looking forward to seeing it too. Please be patient.

Thanks for that update Dave. We still have a lot of naysayers, but I'm fairly optimistic.

Not trying to start rumors but this whole thing has had me wondering from the beginning if OPGI is buying out Clarks and merging them into their group of brands.

I have been wondering the same thing. Someone in the know hinted that same notion to me awhile back. I would rather have Clark's around, but they are getting up in their years, and this might be the only way to keep the parts coming, and allow them some sort of retirement. We'll just have to wait and see.

Eeek, the thought of Clark's getting bought out is scary to me but better than some alternatives. Still looking forward to hearing what OPGI can do for us, I've never dealt with them myself and don't know their reputation. I know they are big and well known, that can be good or bad.

Well, first of all, I have not heard anything about OPGI purchasing any other company. Let alone Clark's. As far as I know that is just a faulse rumor.

As for a parts list to wet you whistle, I have over 75 hardware kits: Complete engine, suspension, bumpers & brackets and the like. Gaskets & O-ring. Tune up and much more. Over 4000 part numbers. I worked very hard to build the parts list for you guys. Yes. I work for OPGI and it is their catalog. However I built the parts list for you, the corvair community. My personal aim is not to put anybody out of business. Simply to provide another option for parts for the car we all love. I hope you like the catalog when it comes out.

You can pre-order the catalog on the opgi website. Looking forward to seeing the catalog.

If you pre-order you get bombarded with their emails for their other products. IMO Wait until it happens and then request the catalog.

Never had that issue when I preordered mine. Only email I got was that I preordered the catalog.

I pre-ordered the catalog and opted into promotional emails so I'll let you know if they spam me as well. When I ordered the catalog I added a note that I found out about them on CorvairForum.com =D

No kidding... I never thought that the catalog would ever be delayed. (Eyes roll). I will just have to wait another few months.

If I'm 69 yrs old now, is it likely I will live long enough to see the catalog?
