Stalling

Post by eForce »

Okay so I went to an out of town car show and then a local show last night. Ran great. Today, it fires right up but dies when I put it in gear. I didn't see the vacuum advance move so I replaced that and same thing. Can't see or hear any vacuum leaks. It's getting fuel.

Once I rev it up, it's fine. Idle just seems very low after parking it last night. I've played with the timing as well just in case of sabotage at the show.

Any ideas? There's lots of vacuum at the top of the carb.

Sounds like a timing issue. Remove vacuum hose from advance unit. Attach a timing light.
Check initial timing.
Let us know result.

Something in the ignition could be off you really need to use a light.
