I am unable to get the races off the 76 colt hubs. Should I reuse
them?

Re: converting 62 to front disc breaks question
Not the best idea. Races get wear patterns from the bearings that run in them. Reusing them might work and very well might lead to premature bearing failure.
Corvair guy since 1982. I have personally restored at least 20 Vairs, many of them restored ground up.

As stated above you should replace them. I've always used a long brass punch to remove them. There is usually a notch inside the hub where you can place the punch against the back of the race to knock it out, some times it takes a few good wacks. After you get that sorted out tell us about your project.

If you have a welder, run a bead on the inside of the race. The race will almost fall out when it cools.

Re: converting 62 to front disc brakes question
I was able to get the races out using a punch and a small sledge hammer.
I did get a couple of nicks on the sleeve where the races sit. Is there any
recommendations on those? Do they need to be sanded down? When the
New rasces go in would you just use a socket to tap them down? Thanks

Re: converting 62 to front disc brakes question
Any nicks should be smoothed out , you don't want any raised areas. As you stated , use a large socket or a brass punch to drive the race back in. It should be seated all the way in flush with the inner shoulder .
