It looks like the 1969 Corvair turn signal wiring was a direct clone of the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird wiring...

Re: Boyne Turn Signal Switch 67-69
More work on my turn signal switch assembly today since my 67's hazard flasher was melted. I chopped it out, traced the wires (no simple feat) and put in a seperate heavy duty switch. I got tricky with two 1N4001 diodes to use the simplest SPST possible.
High time, this car hasn't had latching turn signals or hazard flashers in the 40 years I've owned it.

I was happy to find my cancelling cam today, stored some 20 years ago. Thought it was gone! I was about to order one ($32 everywhere) but it would have been the wrong one anyway. Mine is completely different from anything offered by Clark's or elsewhere, the bumps are much farther apart. Just for the Boyne switch, possibly...?

Buttoned her up today. Here's a closer look at the canceling action.

Or just buy the whole new switch assembly for $70 on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-1969-CORV ... 1841301119
or $85 at Clarks: http://www.corvair.com/user-cgi/search.cgi?part=C864

Dorman is similar but won't work in the Corvair....after reading this post, thought I could run down and get the Dorman rather than ordering the one from Clarks...the contacts closest to the steering shaft have larger humps in them and the turn signal lever wont mount to it....its dimensionally the same but higher in certain areas....order the one from Clarks!erco wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 11:04 pm DOH!
