Corsa instrument panel (stupid question)
Re: Corsa instrument panel (stupid question)
It displays manifold vacuum. Do you have a 140 or a turbo? In both the needle will read about halfway in the negative direction during idle and increase as you step on the gas. At wide open throttle the 140 will only go to 0. With a turbo the needle will go past 0 into the positive region, indicating boost. Keep in mind the scale is inches of mercury which is roughly half of the psi scale so +15 on the gauge would be just under 7.5 psi boost. If you are cruising then decelerate in gear you will see the needle go even more negative than -15 because you have a greater vacuum than at idle.
