Rampside 110 Repositioned Dipstick

I have a ‘62 Rampside with a ‘65(?) 110 Engine. I can’t check the oil level from the rear access panel. Has anyone put an access hole and plug in the engine hatch to do this? Maybe a battery access door welded into the hatch? Any suggestions?

Most people that do anything other than leave the engine cover stock just hinge the entire engine lid.
Corvair guy since 1982. I have personally restored at least 20 Vairs, many of them restored ground up.
Currently working full time repairing Corvairs and restoring old cars.
