PG problem

New problem, something I know VERY little about. 63, 80hp, PG, feels like trans is slipping, starting from a stop the engine needs to wind up quite a bit for it to go, once moving, everything is fine, unless I try to accelerate enough that it down shifts, then it winds up before it goes again. Ideas?

First item to check is transmission fluid level. With the engine, warm,running, in neutral, pull the transmission dipstick. The fluid should be close to the full mark. If not, add fluid.

It sounds like the low band (1st gear) of your two-speed transmission is slipping. Could be a number of things, from low transmission fluid level to worn friction surfaces on the low band. Check the fluid first, and also inspect the fluid for a brown discoloration (should be red) or burnt odor. See the troubleshooting guide below....
