I'm rebuilding the burner in my gas heater. I'm bench testing for proper valve operation but need to know when 12v is applied to the solenoid, does that open or close the gas valve?

I have never worked with the Corvair gas heater, but I do have a copy of the attached reference materials. If you don't have them, I hope they are helpful...

Thanks... I think it might be an unrelated alternator issue... see recent post :(
Also I now have yet another new-to-me gas heater to play with once i figure out my alternator issue.
