Installing rubber schroud seal around engine
Installing rubber schroud seal around engine
I am in the process of installing the rubber strips that go around the engine to attach to the top engine shroud to the engine compartment. I am using new rubber strips and new Clark staples. Would appreciate any advise or recommendations from the forum to help me in this process. I am installing this on a ’64. My thought was to use weather strip adhesive to attach the bottom metal strips to the rubber , then drill the rubber where the stables go through. However not sure this is the best way, so appreciate any tricks other members have used that work. If this is already posted somewhere please point me to where it is. Thank you.

I didn't use staples. A lot of trouble. I used aluminum pop rivets instead.
