I am in the process of putting together a '64 turbo motor. It's been a part for awhile and I am not sure now where these go. It's fun trying to find all the bits that came off this thing and getting back where they belong. I need a little help identifying the head temp sending units, and if it makes a difference where they go. The large one on the left I believe is the after market oil temp sensor that would go on the side of the bottom oil pan. The other two I need some help on. Thanks appreciate any help. Thanks

The wiring details, picture of the sending units, and the 1964 Supplement - Chevrolet Corvair Shop Manual - Section 8 - Electrical Systems are seen below or are attached.
The OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT SWITCH (To the right of the generator) or the CYLINDER HEAD TEMPERATURE SWITCH (Right cylinder head underside, near the exhaust manifold). are just on/off switches, which turn the instrument panel warning lights on when the switch closes and provides a GROUND to the warning light circuit. The temperature gauge thermistor is a variable resistor that changes resistance as engine heat varies. The resistance changes are reflected on the cylinder head temperature gauge in the Spyder or Corsa instrument panel. The thermistor, which looks like a small spark plug, is installed in the left cylinder head, near the exhaust manifold.

Left one is the temp switch that goes on the passenger side head. Middle one is the thermistor that goes in the driver side head. One on the right is neither. Not sure what it is but is not a stock sender.

Thanks Guys, that's a big help. I had it wrong and glad I checked. The one on the right must be the aftermarket Oil temp Guage that attaches to the drain pan. Thanks again.

Agree with Nate on the ID. Far right one is sure to be an aftermarket oil (or water) temp sensor.
