LM 65 Monza sedan
The trunk lock has never worked great but I always was able to get it unlocked usually first try _ gentle push down on trunk lid and turning all the way to right usually did the trick. Now it is difficult to get key to get all the way to right and even if I can get it that far it often will still not open. When I do manage to get it open I test the lock and note that the lock part inside the trunk is sticking but it does move. It also has a bit of front to back movement (loose). Any suggestions.

Lubrication?? Spray liberally with some WD 40 or similar and then lubricate with spray white lithium grease. If you need to push down on the lid to get it to unlatch the adjustment might be too tight. Try slightly lowering the striker on the lid as well.

Try adjusting the locking mechanism a little looser.
