Automatic Choke Problem?
Automatic Choke Problem?
I have a '64 Monza that I am working on. On an 80 degree day the right side choke rod position holds the choke valve plate completely open. I understand that it should hold the choke valve closed. The automatic choke rod did not seem to be correct so I ordered a new one from Clarks. Still holds the choke valve full open. If I attempt to unscrew the rod from the threaded connector it comes all the way out before it becomes high enough to reach the point it should reach. The choke coil appears to have a good "spring" action. Do I need to replace the choke coil? If so, how do I access it to replace it?
