Gotcha. And thanks. I will look up this lockout linkage to see what its about.

Read about this lockout. I know i should someday upgrade my linkage as i do find a tiny bit of play but not much. But of course when Im reading i might not be able to find rogers setup. Anyways, thanks for pointing out about keeping the secondaries open a few seconds to cut down on issues.

Your are welcome. Keep in mind the 1965 140's DID NOT HAVE THE LOCK OUT LINKAGE. This started on the 1966 models. I'm not sure what you have. This makes the 1965 linkage popular.

Roger Parent has stopped making his linkage (he made 65 style and lockout style). There was talk of someone buying his business, but frankly Roger was a one man operation that offered a great product at a good price with excellent service that I doubt a "company" could match. Even at his price point, and great reviews, he had to offer "SALE" prices to move out stock over the years. It is doubtful anyone could offer his design at a price "frugal" Corvair folks would pay.

As Clark's like to say "Buy it now as we may not be able to offer the item again due to vendors coming and going and cost increases".

No doubt in the future used RP linkages will come up for sale.

My engine is the 65. With proper 65 carbs according to Steve Goodman. So I at least know what it is. I bought a couple small things from Roger in his going out of business sales. I guess i will miss out on his linkage.
