In line fuel shutoff

Anyone install a gas cock between the tank and filter/electric pump?
My electric pump is over 5 years old. I carry a spare but thought one would make it easier to service.

I use a pair of needle nose vice grips on the rubber hose coming from the tank to the pump. They also make special "hose clamp pliers" for this.
