out for a ride

Post by pete »

Burning up some fuel yesterday in northern Arizona with the "new" 63 Monza and the 70 Beechcraft Bonanza. Both run excellent in the cool clear air up here!

Cool! My friend just bought his own hanger at Chandler Airpark. He has one RV that he takes out most weekends and another RV is under construction.

BTW...On October 4th we are having our 6th Annual All Corvair Car Show and Pitch-in lunch in the Chandler/Gilbert area. If you want to put some miles on that Corvair or hours on the Beechcraft you're wecome to join us. It's a casual show with only People's Choice type voting along with Long Distance awards and such.

We have folks driving up from Tucson and wouldn't mind a few from Flagstaff too.

That's a great photo of two air-cooled flat-6 classics.

Ed Cole was a Beechcraft Bonanza pilot and was of course well familiar with the engines. No doubt there was cross-pollination of engineering ideas because of this.
