Got a Real Surprise today, Shipping came in "Under" estimate, from web site.
Not sure that has ever happened to me before..........
Along with some 1/16" pinstriping.
6" rally stripe. Was trying to get close to the Corvair script.
Waiting on some Warm Weather.
Where's Spring ?
Front End Time..............
And a Mirror from California Corvair.
OK, So the Question is, The Wife let Me spend the Money.
Will She find Me some Time ?
You have to polish the bumper, before installing the guards..................
I'm sure that they are not as installed at the factory, but work for Me.
I really do like them.
Hopefully, the Wife will loose, the NO Stripes. And I will be able to do the other side.
The "C" emblems are on the way, Thank You California Corvair.
I Really Like IT !
The front seemed much easier, maybe a little more room.
Well, that's all for now, working midnight's and turning COLD again.
Have a Great Day,
OK, it's Cold, but I had to do something..........
The "C" was installed.
Much Gooder Now.
But one of the holes for the "C" on the passenger side seems to large. Any Ideas ?
4-Way Flasher installed, and it Works.
And even got a Christmas present from the Wifey put up.
First, strip the anodizing, and what did't work...........
Items that didn't work,
Cheap oven cleaner ( Wife had some in the basement )
What DID work,
Easy Off, Yellow Can............
Then sand 400,600,800,1000 and then 1500 twice..........
Followed Up with Polishing.
Left to Right, old bezel, stripped and sanded, and starting to polish.
Just started the polishing, but the difference reminds me of a saying from Grandpa,,,,,,,,
" Shines like a diamond in a goats a$$ "
Even redid the rear of drivers side stripe, it was running downhill.
And the Bezels are DONE
Now, I need some "Expert Advice"
Thinking of the Amber Hi-Beam Lights,,,,,,,,,,, Yes or No ?
