:dontknow:
Btw the vin number is: 10927W211904. Can one find more information with the vin number?
10927W211904

The first digit indicates the model year... 0 for 1960, etc. The second two digits are the Trim Level... 09 for 900 or Monza. The next two digits indicate the body style... 27 for 2-door Coupe. The letter indicates the Chevrolet Plant of final assembly... Willow Run, MI. The final digits after the letter is the vehicle serial number. Chevrolet assigned a consecutive sequence number for each plant. The numbers began each year with 100,001... 211,904 = 111,904th vehicle produced that year.

1 = 1961

09 = 900 or Monza

27 = 2-door Coupe

W = Willow Run, Michigan

211904 = Serial Number, 111,904th vehicle produced at Willow Run, MI in 1961.
NOTE: Corvair production numbers for 1961 indicate that 109,945 2-Door Monza coupes were produced that year. A total of 282,075 Corvair cars (500/700/900 2-Door/4-Door/Wagons) were produced, and 47,557 Corvair trucks (Rampside/Loadside/Corvan/Greenbrier) were produced, for a total Corvair production in 1961 of 329,632.

JUDGING BY YOUR HIGH SERIAL NO. & AND THE FACT THAT IT WAS MADE IN THE WILLOW RUN PLANT SOMEONE HAS CHANGED THE ENGINE. THAT MEANS UNLESS SOMEONE HAS MODIFIED THE BOTTOM SHROUDING OR ADDED A GAS HEATER YOU WILL NOT HAVE HEATER

You are in luck, you do not have the 60 sheet metal and your heater is hooked up.You did not take a picture of the rear of the engine but i assume you have the thermostaticly controlled doors - you will not need the air throttle ring.

So today i was at the DMV and got a copy of all the paperwork on the Corvair that they had.
The car was first time registered in America on May 26th 1961.
It was imported to Norway in 1966 and got plates on March 16th 1966.
Im official the 10th owner in Norway but i know the car has circled around unregistred to three more people that has owned it but not registred at the DMV.

The paperwork says 6 seater. 3 in front and 3 in the back so that will say that it orginal came with a bench and that the bucket seats later has been installed. It has had three different licensce plate numbers included the one it has in the paperwork today.
Here in Norway we can get the first registered number as long as its avalible and im gonna try to get the number it had when it came to Norway in '66 :).

Fun to have all the names of the previous owners :).
Here in Norway we are some 5 million people so its easy to find "people" :)
I will first try to search up previous owners on facebook and then the yellow pages to maybe try to get more history, story and old pictures of it :)
