Im mounting a 63-64 Steeering box in my 61 Monza now.
I know the splines on the Steeering wheel isnt the same but does the 63-64 have skinnier base on the Steeering wheel also then the 61?

My 61 corvair with 61 steering wheel and 64 steering box and shaft. Something shady here... Any opinions?

Tonight im mounting the headlight assembly with new painted "body"
The headlight buckets had seen better days so i sanded them down and painted them with Eastwoods Cast Iron Gray intended for exhaust and manifoilds.
I used this not because its needed obviously but i like the industrial color it have. (and yea i know it wont show when mounted but atleast i know that its nice back there)

Image

This is how the headlight assembly and buckets look like now.

I have bought NOS parking lights and the headlights are new as well.
Im not so sure about the design on these headlights as im not sure it will fit the theme of the car the way i have visioned.
So maybe these will be changed before its ready for the road in the spring.

Now im going to start polishing up the headlights ring

Got the driver side door to the metal today after going thru what i think was around 14 layers of paint, bondo etc.
When the passenger side is finished there is absolutely no paint, bondo etc on the hole car.

Much nicer to work with!
Deadline just over 120 days!
