thanks Buz, I have repaired my crossmember but have not yet fitted it back in, so I will keep your email address for now in case my repair doesnt work out :ty:

It sure is, its the seam where the inner fender joins the trunk panel, I'm in the middle of cutting it all out but its hard to get into the corners.
Ahh, Brian Johnson (AC/DC) Local boy done good....hes a car nut too, no Corvairs though
