Love the picture show, it looked like great fun. I am glad you were able to make the best of it (breakdowns).
I hope your last days before work were relaxing. Now get to work on that Corvair!.(HAHAHA)

Oke i started after the vacation with a " simple" job, find some ID nummers and check them out. thsi is what i have found for now:

Vin Plate:
code: 10735W102509
Your car is a 1961 700 station wagon.
It was the 2.509th Corvair built at Willow Run, Michigan that year.

Body Identification Tag:
style: 61-0735 = Corvair 700 4 dr. Sta. Wagon
Body: WR 2176 = Willow Run, MI
Trim: 897 =
Paint: 903C = Seafoam Green
ACC: HCAE = Factory Installed Accessories

Case Code: TI0I8ZB
Z ZL ZH ZB 84HP Powerglide

Cilinderheads: 3813516
62-63 102HP CR 9.00 Valve SPGS Dual

Is this correct and can someone help me with the missing ID's
and i have a " case code" of a 84 HP 61 and the cilinderhead code from a 102HP 62-63 is that possible and what is the advantage of the "more HP cilinderheads"

When i have found more numbers i let you now, thanks already and i post soon more pictures :-)

Mtn Dew is rare here, some times (1 time in 2/3 months) there are a few cans on the shelfs so i load them all in. i've found it 3 years ago in de usa, and luckely sometimes here now, only in cans no bottles.

Thanks

Great pictures and post. Good luck on your body work. From the pictures of the shop it looks like the body man is a true "car guy".

Interesting journal-ing, Ralf. Good story and good pics. In the US, that Rambler is usually found under American Motors instead of Renault. There are a couple good sources for parts for AMC's here. Let me know if you need the links.
Keep after that Lakewood. I wish I had one!

Thanks Corvair.crazy, the man has a private shop and work on cars in his spare time. he has 40 years of experiance in sheet metal, he worked most of the time on english cars , but did also a lot of usa - frence cars like citroen and the project before my car was a buick. So i think it is good hands :-)

@ flamingchariots, The rambler is of a friend of mine, and he is always interested in AMC - Rambler parts, because here in the netherlands there are not many parts, so if you have links, please send me, all past them trough :-) thanks in advanced !!

Great progress. I loved seeing all those straps holding the body on the trailer - better safe than sorry.
