Too Low...is There Such a Thing?

Post by Phil Dally »

If I cannot get it off my racecar trailer that is designed for super low cars...YES!!

Hulkster went on the trailer okay as the sellers house had a downhill driveway.

Fabricating new shock perches to make it more practical and also adjustable.

The original perches were 1/2" thick (overkill) new perches are 3/8" thick.

While on the topic of perch...here's one I caught in the San Simeon surf.

If it won't load on your trailer you need longer ramps.
At one of my old customers with a parking garage in Dallas I used to have to drive out at a 45 degree angle to the exit to keep from getting high centered.

My ramps are already twelve feet long...that's not the problem.

4-link was installed to low in the chassis...those brackets next.

Finished new shock perches and the stance came out perfect.

Perches still need to be trimmed up and corners rounded off.

Plus I'll use racecar 15X4 rally wheels with shorter front tires.

And I have a set of 15X8 rallys that will match with the fronts.
