Finally got another engine in the Convertible and got it on my trailer, after months of working on my mother's house, getting it ready to sell !
It is now at Mike the painter's shop for the finishing touches before paint.
I have yet to chose a color...... BUT not yellow!

The car looks different not sitting in the driveway anymore. :rolling:

My vote for color is evening orchid.

Hey, I just read this thread and I assume that as the car is already in for paint you've already decided on a color, but my suggestion is Cypress Green.

Nice, rare '65 color. Of course, Mist Blue is always nice, too. :)

Really enjoying the thread so far. Keep up the awesome work!

After several months in the paint shop, my other knee being replaced and going through Physical Therapy, I was finally able to drive to the shop to check on the Corsa Convertible.
Here is what I got to see..................
Still have to chose a color....and find the car a warm garage for the winter.
All the interior and the top will need to be installed! I have the original 140, but it will have to be gone through.
I guess this is what winters are for!

Our 1965 Corsa was originally Mist Blue (with a black pinstripe).
Our Mist Blue 1965 Corsa, in 1965

Norm suggested Cypress Green...

And we did that in the early 1970s...
The Mist Blue Corsa is now dark green!

The same Corsa went deep red (like Norm's coupe) in 1980, and we later sold it in 1994.

Our 1965 Corsa convertible was painted red (similar to Norm Witte's Corsa in this photo, but not as nice).

We also had a white Corsa coupe...

And now we have a blue 1966 Corsa convertible, similar to my first blue 1965 Corsa...

I LOVE Cypress Green!! What a shocker, huh? I love yellow too (goes great with the silver corsa tailpanel and silver rally wheels), and Iris Mist is cool too. Funny, how much I like a certain color for a car depends a lot on what the car's interior color already is.

Well It has been a while since I've posted any progress on my little project! Too long probably.
Here are a few pictures to show you all that I have not fallen off the face of the earth or gone on to meet my maker! :tu: That will come soon enough!
Although I have not had time to reassemble the car, I have everything I need to do so. That too will come!
The engine will be totally rebuilt! Stay tuned?!

Looks great! You're breakin my heart with all that overspray on the suspension though.

Agree, beautiful color combo! :chevy:

@ Nick, The over spray WILL be remedied! NO worries!
I haven't done much these past several months, taking care of my elderly Mother and helping the other women in my life! :banghead:
LIFE HAPPENS! Here are a pic of the painted/finished trunk area. The wiring is not far behind.
My one year project is turning into a three year project!

Finally in the car! Two days before I had my Rt shoulder replaced. I took the Oil Alt adapter off to get the engine in easier. <br />Now, I only need to button things up on top and get her back on the ground! Next the new top and interior!
