I have 205/60 - 15 tires on mine which is about the same diameter as the stock size tires. When I rebuilt the front end discovered that both front springs were broken one complete coil turn. So squared up the ends and reinstalled.
All coil springs are original so they are saggy.

Nobody seemed to mention that if it has HD springs, they will lower it too. I am with everyone else here. Looks great at that height. Fix the mufflers. BTW.... clarks sells 2 different sets of 140 mufflers. Coming

Who gave away the cheaper set, the more expensive set with the prebent correct tubes is worth the difference in fit, appearance, and they don’t drone like the less
Expensive ones.

Frank. I was told by the guy who did a partial restoration of my car in 1980 that the car does have HD springs (F41). He said it also had am/fm stereo multiplex when he sold it......long gone now. Don’t suppose you know where there are any reasonably priced units even if they’re inop?

Your car looks awesome. The ride height is nice, I especially admire the slightly nose proud attitude of the late models!

And as many have chimed in your exhaust...are truly demented. Sickeningly so. :)

I am noticing the same thing with the front end of my 66 Monza Sport Sedan. Coil spacers didn't help. I'm running 185x75 R14 tires. The Chevy shop manual says new springs are the only way to restore ride height, but now it's too cold to do any work outside. I happen to have a set of LM heavy duty springs but they will make the ride too hard, so I may just wait till "spring" to install new "springs " (pun intended 😎)...

I am going for a set of air shocks after I change out my springs so I can set my ride level perfect and take a load off my springs at the same time. Poor springs shouldn't bear the load all alone.

I have absolutely nothing against using air shocks and have done so since I was 16 years old. They should NEVER be a substitute for bad worn out springs!!! Replace your springs and front shocks and add these to the rear and you'll be glad you did. Yeh, you can't beat OEM!! Your springs will thank you and you may get about an 1"lift on the front as well. Remember, all the weight is in the back on a Corvair. Lift that back and the front will follow to a certain extent.

We also host an annual Vairs in the Valley car show in October. The event is held in Maggie Valley and celebrates any and all Corvairs. Corvair lovers are welcome!
They are based in the Asheville area, about 100 miles north of my location. Atlanta is about 100 miles south https://www.corvair.org/chapters/chapter303/, and Chattanooga TN is about 100 miles west https://choochoocorvairs.webs.com/, so I am in the middle of nowhere for regular Corvair-related meetings. About the closest Corvair get-together is the annual Corvair Springfest in Helen, Georgia...
